As most of you know almost 4 years ago I had a malignant Melanoma removed from my back. I was lucky enough to catch it early and at the time it hadn't spread. From one little mole, I now have a 17cm scar down the middle of my back and a few others to add to the collection! 12 months later after a routine CT scan, I found out the Melanoma had returned & spread to my lymph nodes, and it's something I fought for over 3 years. Last Febuary I found out I was in remission and have been so ever since. I'm still continuing with my treatment but I'm looking forward to stopping later this year!
Australia has the highest incidence of Melanoma in the world and it kills more young people (aged 20 - 34 years) than ANY other single cancer, and a large portion of this is preventable from simply being sun smart. This cause is something very close to my heart and I'm raising money in hopes that one day they will find a cure for Melanoma.
I would love for you to join me on the 18h of March 2018 at Henley Square for the Melanoma March. If you are unable to make it I would appreciate a donation of any size to help me reach my fundraising goal!
